How does non-invasive prenatal paternity testing work?
During pregnancy, small amounts of circulating free fetal DNA pass into the mother’s bloodstream. Using advanced genetic analysis techniques, it is possible to study this DNA and compare it with that of the alleged father to determine the biological relationship.
Why is it non-invasive?
Unlike other tests such as amniocentesis or chorionic villus sampling, this test is performed using only a blood sample from the mother, avoiding any risk to the fetus.

By analyzing a large number of markers (SNPs), the reliability of the test in positive cases is greater than 99.99% and in negative cases it is 100%.
