About the Grandparentage Test
Paternal grandparenthood

Maternal grandmotherhood

Each person inherits half of his genetic material from his mother and half from his father. In turn, parents have inherited their DNA from their grandparents. For this reason, grandparents share part of their DNA with their grandchildren, which allows genetic comparison and statistical evaluation of the probability of kinship.
Our Grandparentage Test includes 3 analyzable genetic profiles: that of the paternal/maternal grandfather, the paternal/maternal grandmother and the grandson or granddaughter, as well as the sample collection kit. To increase the reliability of the analysis, in some cases we can consider the inclusion of the mother of the son or daughter, which allows us to isolate the alleles inherited from the grandparents’ line and improve the accuracy of the result.
